Vesala
Vesala stands out as one of Finland’s most versatile and celebrated artists—a true renaissance figure whose creativity spans multiple art forms. As a singer-songwriter, she has released three acclaimed studio albums, the latest being Näkemiin melankolia (2023). Her debut album Vesala (2016) was a major success, featuring radio hits like Tequila, Sinuun minä jään, and Tytöt ei soita kitaraa.
Beyond performing, Vesala is deeply involved in her music’s creation—composing, writing lyrics, playing instruments, and producing. She has also crafted music for other artists, as well as for films, TV series, and theater productions.
Her artistry has earned her numerous honors, including Emma Awards, the Juha Vainio and Reino Helismaa lyric prizes, and Finland’s State Prize for Music.
