Traveling to Pori and Kirjurinluoto is easy with different traveling methods
Train
You can easily reach Pori by train. Detailed schedules can be found on the VR website! The distance from the Pori Travel Center (Matkakeskus) to the main concert area is about 2 km. The local Citylinja bus (route number 1) operates from the travel center to the market square (Kauppatori), from where it is about 700 meters to Jazz Street and about 1 km to Kirjurinluoto.
There is no train connection on the night after Thursday’s main concert (July 16th), but a bus connection is available—see the ”By Bus” section. The extra train after Friday’s concert (July 17th) departs during the night on Saturday’s side, so you must select Saturday, July 18th, as the search date for that shift. Similarly, the extra train after Saturday’s concert (July 18th) departs during the night on Sunday’s side, so the connection can be found by searching for departures from Pori on Sunday, July 19th. Bus
Pori is also easily accessible by bus. Long-distance buses arrive at the Pori Travel Center. The distance from the Pori Travel Center to the festival area is about 2 km. Google Maps
Onnibus operates extra shifts after the concerts to Turku, Helsinki, and Rauma. You can find these shifts using the Onnibus trip search. These buses depart at night directly from the main concert area’s parking lot, which is in the immediate vicinity of the festival grounds. NOTE! Select ”Pori (Kirjurinluoto)” as your departure point and the day following the concert as your departure date. For example, the return bus for Friday’s main concert (July 17th) departs on Saturday, July 18th.
For travel to Tampere after Thursday’s main concert (July 16th), Einbus Oy operates a shift that departs from the Kirjurinluoto parking lot on Friday, July 17th, at 00:55. Tickets can be purchased from their online store.
Own Car
Next to the festival area, there is a parking lot for visitors arriving by car. Day parking costs 20 €, and both card payments and cash notes are accepted. Skoda cars can park for free, as Skoda is our official partner.
All vehicular traffic arriving at Kirjurinluoto, including both buses and private cars, will be routed via the E8 highway (Vaasa, Turku) for both arrival and departure. When arriving from the north (Vaasa) via Highway 8, the junction can be found at the address Länsitie 175. When arriving from the south (Helsinki, Turku), the address is Länsitie 166.
The Raumansilta bridge, which leads from Pori city center to Kirjurinluoto, is reserved exclusively for pedestrians and cyclists during the main concert days. Please see the approach map below and follow the road signs after turning off Highway 8.
