Sasha Berliner
American vibraphonist Sasha Berliner has already won the hearts of Finnish audiences, performing at April Jazz last spring with the stellar lineup of Kaisa Mäensivu, Nicole McCabe, and Mareike Wiening, as well as with Kaisa’s Machine.
Currently based in both New York and Los Angeles, Berliner is an acclaimed vibraphonist and composer who has collaborated with jazz greats such as bassist Christian McBride, drummer Marcus Gilmore, and vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant—who will also appear at Pori Jazz next summer.
Her career took off in 2018 when, still very young, she debuted at NYC Winter Jazzfest. That performance led to invitations to the Atlanta Jazz Festival and Burlington Jazz Festival the same year, marking the start of a remarkable journey in contemporary jazz.
