Pori Jazz strengthens its main concert lineup with two international names. Sugababes and Don West will perform at Kirjurinluoto on Friday, July 17. The festival’s Friday program forms a diverse and international ensemble that offers experiences for a wide audience and moves smoothly between pop, soul, jazz, and alternative rhythm music.

The British group Sugababes is an English supergroup whose music is defined by pop, R&B, and dance, but also features influences from soul and hip-hop. In the early 2000s, the band created a catchy dance-pop sound, highlighted by their debut single Overload, the chart-topping Push the Button, and their best‑selling single About You Now. Sugababes will perform at Pori Jazz in their original lineup, promising a true cavalcade of hits.

Also performing on Friday is Australian soul singer‑songwriter Don West, who is gaining international recognition and draws inspiration from soul legends such as Marvin Gaye, James Brown, and Al Green. West released his debut album Give Me All Your Love in November 2025. He is also a popular model, drawing stylistic influence for his stage outfits from iconic stars of film history.

Artists previously announced for Friday include Tom Odell, SML, Vesala, Jalen Ngonda, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Salin, Pale Jay, and Helmi Antila Quartet.
