Keyboardist Charles de Boisseguin founded pop and disco ensemble L’Impératrice some ten years ago. The band hailing from Paris, France is known as an excellent live act combining 70’s disco and 90’s electronic pop with unique French elegance. The band was forced to cancel some 60 concerts in 2020 – including one at California’s Coachella festival – due to COVID-19 crisis. However, they didn’t let the misfortunes to discourage them and released their second studio album Tako Tsubo in 2021. L’Impératrice is an act that works well on albums as well as on live stagess – one is to expect a remarkable musical experience at Pori Jazz in July.
