Singer and songwriter Enji (real name Erkhembayar Enkhjargal) hails from the East Asian Mongolian capital of Ulan Bator. From a young age, he became fascinated with the folk music and dance of his country. Enji began studying music in his home country and continued in Munich, Germany. Enji has a unique voice and his music moves smoothly between jazz and folk music. Before the Pori Jazz concert, Enji will release his new album Sonor. It is the singer’s fifth album. His debut release was Mongolian Song, released in 2018. In Kirjurinluoto, Enji will be accompanied by bassist River Adomeit and guitarist Paul Brändle, who also composes Enji’s music.
