AHQ is a jazz band formed by five young musicians from Helsinki. Their music is easy to listen to also for those who are not that familiar with jazz but it also contains a lot of interesting and delightful twists for experienced jazz listeners. The compositions are influenced by modal jazz, bebop, fusion and free jazz. Aapo Heinonen does all the compositions but the arrangements are usually made together with the whole group. The debut album was published by Presence Records in March 2010.
