Kadi Quartet

Great atmosphere, colourful sound and strong groove. Kadi Quartet is a band formed around jazz singer Kadi Vija in the Spring 2010.

Fresh and swingy Kadi Quartet plays Vijas delicious compositions and the English lyrics are written by Elina Koivisto. Creating smooth moods and colourful sounds is very essential in their music as they have absorbed influences from modal jazz. The singer Kadi considers her self as an instrumentalist among the others. She pushes her limits in the solos harmonically, melodically and rhythmically. The pianist Mikael Myrskog is an experimental and playful soloist. Having played together for a long time the bassist Pasi Toivanen and the drummer Tomi Saikkonen will guarantee the strong and groovy beat. All of the musicians are studying pop and jazz music in Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
