Everyone who knows anything about the international jazz scene knows that London has become a big contestant for New York as the world’s jazz capitol. Eye-catching artists are emerging in the United Kingdom at such a pace that keeping up has become an unmanageable task. Outside of the biggest headlines, the manager of 22a records, producer, and saxophonist-flutist Tenderlonious has been busy with his own endeavours. His band, Ruby Rushton, will play their two first Finnish concerts at Pori Jazz this July, one on the Kirjurinluoto Main Stage followed by another the same evening in Cafe Jazz. In addition to playing jazz, Tenderlonious is known for producing electronic music so it may come as no surprise that that Friday evening will be spent in groove.
